ANIWANIWA  Jesus is condemned to Death
acrylic on canvas, 1220x890mm
by Gregory O'Brien

The artworks are not so much a depiction of the Easter story as the artists’ responses to the universal, existential questions arising from specific stages in that story and from what is happening in our world today. Two additional stations –the resurrection and the Emmaus road appearance – suggest ways we find hope in the face of suffering and grief.

There will be time for prayer, centring, personal reflection, and sharing together around these powerful themes of mortality and transcendence.

Saturday 8 April 10.00 am - 1 pm.
