Current Groups

Blue Mountains NSW

We are reading In Defence of Doubt by Val Webb from Eremos Books for Groups. We meet on the last Friday of the month in members' homes in the upper, lower and mid mountains. We start with morning tea at 10am and finish with 5 minutes silence at about 12.30pm. New members are always welcome in this group. For more information contact Elaine:

Newcastle and the Hunter Region

New members are always welcome to join our group which meets every third Sunday from 4- 6pm (except January) and to share a meal for those who can stay. We are presently discussing Marcus Borg’s The Heart of Christianity. Our discussions are lively and informative, and encourage freedom of thought, expression of our spirituality (whatever that may be) and share our personal faith journeys. All are most welcome.

We meet monthly in Baulkham Hills on the first Thursday at 7.30pm. We will finish the year with Joan Chittister’s The Gift of Years which has served us well and been both enjoyable and enriching. We enjoy good times of sharing and discussion and welcome new members. We plan to begin 2015 with Bruce Sanguin’s book The Advance of Love: Reading Scripture with an Evolutionary Heart. In this book Bruce Sanguin talks of the ‘evolving cosmos . . of the evolutionary theory of life on our planet . . . . and that we are the most intimate expression of this creativity.’ It has a grand message and promises to be a great book for study.
