As of mid 2009 we know of Eremos Groups that are meeting regularly in the Blue Mountains and the Sydney region for Books for Groups discussions.
Refer to the Groups or Books pages on our website for more information.
We also have at least ten people in other regions who are willing to be a contact person for Eremos and who might help in establishing a group in their region. Refer to page 40 of any of the recent EREMOS magazines for further details. Contact people from every State and Territory across Australia are listed there!
Support for starting a group is available from our honorary Coordinator: Sue Emeleus. Contact Sue via the email address below.

Our group in Newcastle meets on every third Sunday from 4-6pm. After the discussion finishes, all are welcome to stay for a meal.Everyone brings a plate to share.
This year we are also having book discussions - currently we are reading Stepping out with the Sacred by Val Webb.
Our format is very simple; our get togethers are very informal, discussions lively and food delicious. The group is about inclusivity - everyone is welcome and it is an interfaith group.
We listen respectfully to one another and share our thoughts and feelings about the various topics raised.
At the end of each month, the group decides what subject we will share the next month. The Eremos Retreat team will lead a Retreat Day for this group on 23 November 2013. We welcome new members.

Hills Area, Sydney (NSW)
Our group meets in Baulkham Hills on the first Thursday in the month at 7.30pm. We welcome any who would like to join us in our study of Minding the Earth, Mending the World, a book written by Zen practitioner Dr Susan Murphy.
In the tradition of eco-theologian Thomas Berry, Susan offers a profoundly hopeful second chance to engage with what it means to deeply mind the earth once more by reimagining the stories we have told ourselves about the world and illuminating the ways humanity might become the solution, rather than the problem. New members are very welcome.
