As of mid 2009 we know of Eremos Groups that are meeting regularly in the Blue Mountains and the Sydney region for Books for Groups discussions.

We also have at least ten people in other regions who are willing to be a contact person for Eremos and who might help in establishing a group in their region. Refer to page 40 of any of the recent EREMOS magazines for further details. Contact people from every State and Territory across Australia are listed there!

Proposed Eremos Group for Northern Beaches (Sydney, NSW)
Colin and Gai Bradford are looking to start an Eremos group in the Northern Beaches region of Sydney, initially meeting at their home in Elanora Heights. Format and frequency of meetings could be decided by those who show interest and/or attend our first gathering.

New Eremos Group for Hills Area, Sydney

Hunter/Newcastle (NSW)
This recently formed group meets on the third Sunday in the month from 4pm- 6pm and there is a meal for those who can stay afterwards. Everyone is invited to bring something to share.
We are a very democratic group and leadership is on a voluntary basis. Whoever is leading a particular session provides whatever pre-reading or activity may be necessary beforehand and then leads the group on the day.
So far our topics have been generated by the group at the previous session. We encourage freedom of thought and expression of our spirituality and share our faith journeys.

Blue Mountains (NSW)
We are almost finished reading and discussing The Case for God by Karen Armstrong from Eremos Books for Groups. We meet on the last Friday of the month starting with morning tea at 10am then move into discussion until about 12:30pm.

Beecroft/Epping (NSW)
This group meets on the second Saturday in the month (excluding January) at Beecroft from 2pm- 4 pm followed by informal fellowship over afternoon tea. We are still finding much to challenge and inform us in David Boulton's book The Trouble with God and probably won't start a new book until December.
