Meet Meredith Knight
Meredith Knight, Eremos Membership Officer joined us in July 2017. It is a delight to introduce her to those who haven't yet had the pleasure of meeting Meredith.
I am delighted to be working for Eremos in the role of Membership Officer. I have been aware of Eremos for a long time through Pitt Street Uniting Church where I have been an active member for 34 years.
I think it is important for organisations such as Eremos to exist where people can explore spirituality which goes beyond religious affiliation/belief.
I have been exploring spirituality within my own life especially since 2013 when I left a 30+ career in real estate to study a Bachelor of Theology at the United Theological College. I graduated with Distinction in 2016.
I am now a pastoral practitioner in aged care. I am also a member of the Uniting Church Synod’s Relations with Other Faiths committee and on the NSW Council of Christians and Jews.
A great joy of mine is singing which is given expression through environmental choir, Ecopella. As a result of my involvement with Ecopella, I have become a passionate environmental activist.
I am the secretary/treasurer of the Granville Train Disaster Association Inc. and was honoured to give the key-note speech at the 40 th Anniversary in January (my father was one of the 83 victims).
I live with my partner, Sue and our cat, Kali, in Marrickville.
