"Yearning for Spiritual Nourishment"
Glebe Cafe Church, 37 St Johns Rd, Glebe
Sunday, 14th June
Five young people talk about their hopes, fears and inspirations in facing the future. Do their stories give hope to the church, will they help us find faith, will they make a difference in a world marked by conflict and greed?
- Carlyn Chen works for TEAR Australia and Micah Challenge to mobilise the grassroots to speak up for justice for the global poor, and volunteers with local community organisations.
- Ryan Beusnel is a musician interested in Gothic Metal, a theology student and coordinator of ‘Space for God’, a church that dabbles in fair trade tea and controversial conversations.
- Jason Rushton founded the Chatswood Rotaract club and is involved in worldwide Ignatian young adult ministry. He is inspired by peace activist John Dear SJ, and is studying journalism.
- Tim Kurylowicz has a background in acting and co-ordinates HopeStreet’s Education programs while doing a masters degree connecting drama, ethics and community development.
- Charissa Suli is a second generation Tongan who works as a cross cultural consultant for the Uniting Church resourcing intergenerational issues of identity in cross-cultural situations.
