Taking time to slow down, to reconnect, to be with others who wish to do the same, to connect with God, to reflect on who I am and whose I am…
Our final event for 2013 will be in the Hunter Region
Retreat Day Saturday 23rd November
10 am – 4 pm led by the Eremos Retreat team.
Venue: St Phillips Catholic Church, Kotara, Newcastle.
17th century mystic Angelus Silesius wrote: "Christ could be born a thousand times in Galilee—but all in vain until He is born in me."
Jesus called for a radical transformation of who we are and how we are in the world… our relationships to ourselves, to God, each other and the world we live in. As the outer preparations for Christmas begin, take some time for your ‘inner’ readiness. The local Eremos group look forward to sharing their ‘Hunter hospitality’ and welcome people from far and wide.
Sharing rides from Sydney or some local billets for Friday and/or Saturday night may be possible. Please contact Nanoya by 10th November if you would like a billet.
Cost: $50 ($60 for non members), includes morning tea and lunch. Concession, $10 less.
Bookings essential: please register online for this retreat day.
Map and details will be provided. For further details contact Nanoya Barrett 0410 496 639.

Regular Eremos Retreats
Taking time for yourself, to slow down, to reconnect, to be with others who wish to do the same, to connect with God, to reflect on who I am and whose I am…. These are the many reasons people attend Eremos retreats. Since our beginning in 1983, retreats have been an essential activity of the Eremos Institute in Sydney.
All our retreats include some input, time on your own for reflection, sharing in small groups and communal prayer. New people are most welcome to join us at all retreats and events.
The size of the group in our regular retreats varies. Usually it is not more than 24 and often about 10 people. When we have special guest presenters as for our retreat day in March, 2010 (Sacred Space and Sacred Time) and March, 2011 (with Rev Jane Vennard) we have closer to 60 participants.
Our retreats are generally held in venues surrounded by natural beauty such as Bundeena House in Bundeena, Yaraandoo in Fiddletown and Maria Tal Cottages in Wentworth Falls.
