Where in the world is God?
In the light of new awareness of the cosmos, is our way of envisaging God changing? Do we ask and answer “Where in the world is God?” In what way can we understand ‘made in the image of God’? What prayers make sense to us in this cosmology – Our Father in Heaven, silent meditation, some psalms? This retreat is a time to compose and share our changing or unchanging thoughts, feelings and inclinations about our universe, church, our neighbours and us in response to our changing awareness of God.

Cost: $70 / $60 for EREMOS members, includes morning tea and lunch. Concession: $60 / $50 for members.

Taking time for yourself, to slow down, to reconnect, to be with others who wish to do the same, to connect with God, to reflect on who I am and whose I am…. These are the many reasons people attend Eremos retreats. Since our beginning in 1983, retreats have been an essential activity of the Eremos Institute in Sydney.
All our retreats include some input, time on your own for reflection, sharing in small groups and communal prayer. The size of the group in our regular retreats is never more than 24 and often about 10 people, although we make an exception when we have special guest presenters as for our retreat day in March, 2010 (Sacred Space and Sacred Time) and 26 March, 2011 (with Rev Jane Vennard) as we expect about 60 people to attend. New people are most welcome to join us at all future retreats and events.
Our retreats are generally held in venues surrounded by natural beauty such as Bundeena House in Bundeena, Yaraandoo in Fiddletown and Maria Tal Cottages in Wentworth Falls.
