The Spirituality of Letting Go
The call to let go lies at the core of many spiritual traditions. Non-attachment to outcomes, surrendering ego desires, accepting the present, opening to the guidance of a higher power, forgiveness - all entail a letting go, while holding on is a cause of much of our suffering. We will explore the experiences of our lives in this context.

Regular Eremos Retreats
Taking time for yourself, to slow down, to reconnect, to be with others who wish to do the same, to connect with God, to reflect on who I am and whose I am…. These are the many reasons people attend Eremos retreats. Since our beginning in 1983, retreats have been an essential activity of the Eremos Institute in Sydney.
All our retreats include some input, time on your own for reflection, sharing in small groups and communal prayer. New people are most welcome to join us at all retreats and events.
The size of the group in our regular retreats varies. Usually it is not more than 24 and often about 10 people. When we have special guest presenters as for our retreat day in March, 2010 (Sacred Space and Sacred Time) and March, 2011 (with Rev Jane Vennard) we have closer to 60 participants.
Our retreats are generally held in venues surrounded by natural beauty such as Bundeena House in Bundeena, Yaraandoo in Fiddletown and Maria Tal Cottages in Wentworth Falls.
