From its very beginning, Eremos has nurtured small group gatherings where people can
share their experiences and learn with and be nourished by one another in a common exploration.

 

STARTING A GROUP

The Eremos Membership Officer may be able to assist members to find others to form a group in their area.

Please feel free to email directly to the group contact listed near you. If you have any need of further assistance please contact groups@eremos.org.au.

The focus of Eremos groups is on collegiality and sharing, rather than an expert leader. Each group chooses what resources they utilise. Some use the EREMOS magazine articles as stimulation for regular discussion.

Mornington Peninsula, Victoria

Elizabeth Albiston reports that Mornington Peninsula group continues to meet on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at various venues on the delightful Mornington Peninsula, commencing at 10.30am with morning tea, followed by dialogue & reflection. We had an excellent Day Apart at the Community of the Holy Name with 33 folk in attendance.  
Our group continues to thrive, it is quite remarkable really. We've been going 10 years now.

Hills District group Sydney continues to meet monthly on a Saturday morning (generally the 3rd Saturday). We are presently reading and reflecting on “Awareness” by Anthony de Mello. Southern Sydney 

The Southern Sydney EREMOS Book Group meets on the second Saturday of the month at the home of a member. Christine writes, 'Our group continues to be a vibrant little community who value our monthly gatherings to pray, reflect and share our lives.'

In recent months we have shared our reflections on our spiritual journey in the light of Christine Valters Painter's book The Artist's Rule: A twelve-week journey." Each month we share our reflections on our journalling and our progress. 

We will take a break in January and meet again in February to complete the final chapters of the book. New members are always welcome.
