AGM followed by Keynote speaker, Dr Sally Longley

The world is in great need of healing – at micro and macro levels. Engaging with silences can enable us to be peace-makers and healers. Rev. Nóirín Ní Riain, the Irish singer and modern mystic, coined the term ‘Theosony,’ to refer to the ‘sound of the Divine.’

Sally will discuss how listening into the sounds of the divine through the many-textured nuances of silence, can bring us into rich conversational encounters. We will look at the everyday silences that greet us as we go about our work and play: these tiny houses of time that invite us in and offer us hospitality.

Such little doors into silence can be found between words, within art, in architecture, and underlying all music. We will also look at the role of imagination as a valuable conversation partner with the Voice of silence. To pay attention to theosony, is to avail ourselves of transformation, which does not only transform us but as we engage with the world, we participate in tikkun olam: the healing of the world.

Following the presentation there will be time for small group sharing and discussion with Sally.
