The Islam You Don’t Know!
We are delighted to announce that Professor Mohamad Abdalla AM has agreed to be our keynote speaker for our Annual General meeting this year. Professor Abdalla will share some of the fundamental teachings of Islam related to doctrine, acts of worship, and spirituality. He will focus on the meaning and importance of tawhid (the Oneness of God) in theology, along with other Islamic cultural and spiritual resources such as art and architecture.
He will also explore with us important aspects of esoteric and exoteric acts of worship, that is the external or more public aspects of worship and the interior or contemplative dimensions. It promises to be a rich and stimulating presentation and we hope that you will join us.
He speaks eloquently about his life, faith and the spirituality of Islam in a recent interview with Meredith Lake on the ABC Radio program, Soul Search.
