Eremos Long Lunch – a Table in the Wilderness
Eremos Long Lunch – a Table in the Wilderness
Saturday 12 April 2025
11.30am to 2.30pm
Held at a private home in the Parramatta area
Hosted by Bethany South and Jenn Pearson
Eremos is the Greek word for desert or wilderness. The Scriptures are full of stories of people drawn, or driven, into the desert. The desert has long been a place of Divine Encounter and a place from which the prophets come.
Can God really set a table in the wilderness?
The Table is a recurring motif for provision and nourishment in many sacred texts.
Join us for a Long Lunch as we share stories of our own wilderness times and our experiences of nourishment around the table. We will also draw inspiration from stories in the Scriptures, the Desert Fathers and Mothers and/or contemporary spiritual writers. There will be time for shared silence as we reverence these Divine encounters.
Bethany South and Jenn Pearson will host this Long Lunch in a private home in the Parramatta area, readily accessible via train. The address will be provided upon registration or direct enquiry.
Cost: $20
